This 18th Century Georgian Town House is believed to have been built as
a Dower House for a local wealthy family. Now, fully restored and
adapted for use as a small hotel, Bishopsgate House provides and ideal
opportunity for Holidaymakers and business people to relax and be
pampered in comfort, enjoying delicious freshly prepared food, elegant
rooms and friendly hospitality. Centrally located in the historic castle
town of Beaumaris, the hotel provides an ideal base from which to
explore the many delights of Anglesey and Snowdonia.
Each
one of the nine en-suite bedrooms has its own individual character.
Modern amenities have been blended with antique beds and carefully
chosen decor, to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible.
Two four poster bedrooms are available for that special occasion.

The residents lounge which retains its
wall panelling, provides a relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy coffee
and liqueurs and perhaps a chat with other guest at the end of your day.
Many items of antique furniture , as
well as collections of glass and china adorn the hallwaysand landing.
Perhaps the most important original feature of the house is the Chinese
Chippendale staircase, believed to be one of the finest in the country.

Restaurant &
Cocktail Bar
Food
is an essential part of your stay at Bishopsgate. All meals are freshly
prepared by our chef, using local produce wherever possible. Two menus
provide a wide choice, including fresh local fish, succulent Welsh Lamb,
Aberdeen Angus Steak and crisply roasted Duckling. The number of local
people who regularly use the resaurant bear witness to the quality and
value for money provided.
Beaumaris
 The breathtaking views
from Beaumaris Green, across the Menai Straits to the mountains of
Snowdonia never fail to impress the visitor. Edward the 1st Castle
dominates the Eastern end of town, while the courthouse and Gaol add to
the historical interest. A wide range of both indoor and outdoor
activities are catered for in and around the town, including fishing,
sailing, riding and golf, while the islands coastal paths and nearby
Snowdonia range make the area a walkers paradise.
Following recent
improvements to the A55 Coast Road, Anglesey now boasts a fast two lane
road linking the island with the National Motorway Network.

I has never been a
simpler to come and enjoy the delights of Beaumaris and the beautiful
island of Anglesey.
